Naxos, Greece
We arrived in Naxos on the Blue Star ferry from Athens. I think I prefer the ferry to both trains and planes - it offers the ease and convenience of a train with the killer views of a plane. But back to the topic - Naxos.
We chose to stay on Naxos because we wanted to experience a calm, less touristy but still beautiful Greek island, and Naxos did not disappoint. We enjoyed 4 days of beautiful beaches, gorgeous sunsets, delicious meals, cheap tasty wine, and of course the charming blue-and-white buildings and pools everywhere. One day we rented an ATV and drove around looking for more secluded beaches and accidentally discovered a few nude beaches. I felt very overdressed!
We highly recommend Naxos to anyone looking for a less touristy but still thoroughly enjoyable island in the Cyclades island chain.

We stayed at the awesome Agio Prokopios Hotel. It’s located just a short walk off the beach and has a beautiful pool and courtyard. The couple that runs the hotel is extremely nice and really worked with us and eventually upgraded us to a better room when there was a mixup with the room our travel company had reserved.
